Puppy Class for puppies under 4 months old.

Using their breakfast as motivation, puppies learn how to ‘earn’ their rewards. Foundations are laid for the basic obedience commands (Heel, Sit, Down, Stay and Come) and techniques for handling common puppy behavior (play biting, housebreaking, chewing, etc..) are discussed and practiced.

Basic Obedience classOpen to all dogs over 4 months old.

For this class, praise and affection are the reward as your dog learns the basic obedience commands (Heel, Sit, Down, Stay and Come). Your dog will learn to work through distractions, and make positive eye contact with you.

Obedience IIOpen to all dogs that have been to Basic Obedience.

In this class, we will reinforce the basics and focus on a quick and reliable response in a variety of settings. Your dog will learn to follow your direction whether he’s relaxing at home or out and about.

Workshop I Open to dogs who have completed one of our training programs, or who have been assigned to this class at registration.

In this class, your dog already has a solid understanding of the basics and is ready to start applying them in the real world. Your dog will learn to work on both the left and the right side, and become familiar with a formal greeting command. We start proofing the basics with a distraction class, and the final week is held off-site (weather permitting!) where you can apply all the skills you’ve learned.

Workshop IIOpen to dogs who have completed one of our training programs, or who have been assigned to this class at registration.

In this class, we work on really refining your dog’s listening skills. Whether it’s hand signals and body language in Silent Class, or Focus in distraction class your dog will learn to listen and respond quickly.  The final class is held off-site (weather permitting!) where you can practice everything in a real world setting.
